Privacy Policy
Last updated: this is a sample policy for an original hobby project.
1. What we collect
- Account data: your email (for sign-in) and a hashed password, managed by our authentication provider (Supabase).
- Profile data: username, avatar, optional country and bio, and appearance preferences.
- Gameplay data: your games, moves, ratings, and results.
- Chat & reports: in-game messages and any reports you submit or that name you.
2. How we use it
Data is used to operate the game: authentication, matchmaking, ratings and leaderboards, in-game chat, content moderation, and reviewing reports of misconduct. We do not sell your personal data.
3. What others can see
Your username, avatar, optional flag, rating, and win/loss record are public on the leaderboard and in games. Enabling a private profile hides you from the public leaderboard. Your email is never shown to other players.
4. Storage & security
Data is stored with our backend provider (Supabase) and protected by row-level security so players can only access data they are permitted to see. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
5. Your choices
You can edit your profile and appearance at any time, and request account deletion, which removes your profile and associated games. See our Terms of Service for conduct rules.
6. Contact
Questions about privacy can be directed to the project maintainer. This policy may be updated; material changes will be reflected here.
